History

Childhood:
Jessie was born 40 minutes after her brother Seth, making her the younger of the two. Relatively, Jessie had a normal young childhood. Though when she turned 8 she found out about her family's line of work. That is when she began her research on demons and the downworld. Her father and her always went crystal hunting whenever they had a chance, this is how she got her labradorite necklace. Blane was a dear family friend, her father parabatai, so when her parents went off for hunts, Blane was there for the kids. They spent most of their days in the penthouse apartment her family owned in the city (near the institute).
That is where the tragedy of her parent's death happened. When Seth and Jessie were 10, they had been out with Blane on a trip to the institute for their upcoming admission. After the death of their parents, they moved to the institute for their remaining days. Blane worked with them both to learn how to handle the grief and focus on their training. Jessie ended up throwing herself into her training. She wanted to know why this creature attacked and killed her parents. As the days passed Jessie became the top of her class, mastering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Karate, Arnis, Kendo, and Eskrima, excelling at hand-to-hand combat, downworld classes, rune classes, and history. As she aged to have a stele Blane gifted her mom’s stele to her.
During this time Jessie and her brother became parabatais. Training together and becoming one of the deadliest duos in the institute. As the days passed, she started spending more and more time in the mundane world. There was no way to figure out who…or what killed her parents. After graduating from the institute, Jess spends more and more time outside the institute.
Adulthood:
After her 18th birthday, Jess left the institute and joined the mundane world. She has a job, an apartment, and a few friends, who are downworlders (werewolf, faery, and a vampire). She hardly ever returns to the institute. Blane and Seth check on her from time to time but mostly leave her to her growing obsession with the thing that killed her parents. She spends a lot of time with her friends Aeden Blackrose (faery), Sophia Hunter (vampire), and Dexter Howard (werewolf). Dex helped her get an apartment and they share it currently, where Sophia and Aeden tend to crash a lot. By becoming close with downworlders she has realized that not all of them are monsters.
