Childhood:
Seth was the firstborn twin. Like his sister, he had a normal young childhood. He learned at a young age about his family’s work and was excited by it. Getting books from his mother and excitedly read them in a day. While his father spent time with his sister Seth would read more and more about the downworld and shadowhunters. When he was 9 his father gave him his first blade to practice with. Along with the blade came the labradorite necklace, which his sister had helped find and make for him. For Seth, he couldn’t remember a time before Blane, his father’s parabatia. Blane quickly became an uncle to both Seth and Jess. They spent most of their days in the penthouse apartment her family owned in the city (near the institute).
That is where the tragedy of her parent's death happened. When Seth and Jessie were 10, they had been out with Blane on a trip to the institute for their upcoming admission. After the death of their parents, they moved to the institute for their remaining days. Blane worked with them both to learn how to handle the grief and focus on their training. Seth poured himself into the study aspect of the world and also worked alongside his sister. She quickly surpassed him in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Karate, Arnis, Kendo, Eskrima, and hand-to-hand. Thankfully he still held his own in downworld classes, rune classes, and history classes. When he became of age Blane give him his father’s stele as a gift.
During this time Seth and his sister became parabatais. Training together and becoming one of the deadliest duos in the institute, until she started staying out of the institute more and more. Though this hurt Seth a lot, he understood her reasoning. There was no way to figure out who…or what killed her parents, they both knew that at this point. After graduating from the institute, Seth slowly made his way to Weapons Master through hard work and research.
Adulthood:
Since his 18th birthday, Seth has worked to help his sister in any way to keep her safe. He met several other hunters, who were older than him, and quickly formed a group with them. Skye Flatland, the daughter of the Head of the Institute. A brave and fearless woman who Seth quickly became close to as a friend. Sean Bellebough is the son of a highly respected family. A goofy and smart man who Seth supports in wanting to marry Skye. Ava Townfall, the daughter of the Weapons Master. An honest and faithful woman. With these new friends, Seth is rising in the institute's eyes as an upcoming and promising young Shadowhunter.
